Editor Rating

The most important feature of a recording studio headphone pair in terms of design is whether or not it is comfortable to use for extended periods of time. The Sennheiser HD280 Pro Headphones feature soft ear cups that are widely separated, so that if you are accustomed to wearing headphones for extended periods of time, they will seem to magically disappear and you will not even be aware that they are covering your ears. The fact that they are lightweight and use neodymium magnet drivers adds to their degree of comfort. Collapsible, space-saving Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones are designed to make transporting them as simple as possible. The cable is detachable, and all of its components may be changed to ensure that the equipment is kept in good working condition.

Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones feature an impedance of 64 Ohms, which means that there is no distortion in the music and that the headphones will not exceed ear-damaging volume levels. Featuring up to 32dB of sound attenuation, this pair is suitable for usage in busy environments, live settings, and the DJ booth. With different audio sources such as the Digidesign Digi 003 recording interface, iPod, or iPhone 4S, there will be no indication of crackling even at very high bass levels when the headphones are used. Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones reproduce the sounds of the present era’s rock, pop, and hip hop flawlessly. It’s easy to see that these headphones are capable of handling the high bass content supplied by the majority of sound engineers and producers these days, even when the volume is not cranked up.

The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones are the greatest value for money, and they are impossible to beat in terms of sound quality and clarity when purchased at a fair price.

I record with this set of phones and I l love them. the first thing I look for is direct sound. some thing that will give me the most direct sound with no effects or “clean up”.

Love the sound but why the coiled cable? I use these for recording and now when I am laying down a guitar track I have a pound of coiled cable hanging off my neck. Awful Idea.

The Sennheiser HD 280 Pros also brought out the details in rock-and-roll CDs such as the White Stripes’ Elephant. Oh boy, Jack White’s buzz-saw guitar sounded gloriously distorted, and Meg White’s heavyweight drumming kicked butt.

These in my opinion are ultimately better than “Beats by Dre” The sound is great.
