Sony XBA-S65 Earphone Review: Is It The Best Buy In 2021?

Sony XBA-S65 has all the features which an athlete looks for in a sports earphone. A well-established Japanese firm can be trusted to deliver a high-performance product.

The Sony XBA-S65 has unique lasso-styled hanging rubber loops which snugly adjust around your ears. The logo of the company is prominently placed on each earpiece, perhaps to distinguish it from all other sports earphones with a similar loop-like shape. The design is ideal for extensive workouts or training and is available in different sizes to adjust best to your ears.

Positives

  • Tangle free cord. Comfortable. Good sound quality.

Negatives

  • Cord length is very long. Quality deteriorates after a few months. Not an impressive design.

Snug Fit, Great Sound, Are Sony Xba-s65 The Best Buy?

The Sony XBA-S65 is extremely light, weighing just 10g therefore they are barely noticeable after you put them on. The earphones use armature drivers instead of regular dynamic ones, causing them to become very lightweight. Like all sports earphones, Sony XBA-S65 is also sweatproof and can be easily washed. The Sony XBA-S65 is attached with a long cable comprising of a Kevlar core but it is not as durable as compared to others and its length might cause a hassle during exercise. The cord however is tangle-free and can be easily straightened up in no time.

The sound results for Sony XBA-S65 are excellent. Clear tones can be heard with no disturbances even at higher bass or volume. The mids, highs, and lows can be clearly defined with a sufficient amount of noise cancellation. The Sony XBA-S65 is available in the market in four different colors. It is a reasonable bargain for sports earphones with good sound quality. However, this product has received a few complaints about breaking down after rough use for a few months. This might become problematic as sports earphones cannot be used with extra care and delicacy.

I’m enjoying the comfortable fit, and the light weight, makes them feel like the music is piping in from nowhere.

There’s nothing bad about these really they just don’t do what I need them to do compared to my current ear buds. I needed these to drown out music at the skating rink. These just aren’t loud enough for that.

Considering the price tag attached to the pair I bought, it is a very good product which minimal flaws.

I have used a variety of headphones and I must say these are the most comfortable ones ever.
